Built where
legends
were made.

The Fujigen factory built the guitars that players now call vintage. For decades, their name never appeared on the headstock. Now it does.

The History

The factory
behind the greats.

In the 1960s and '70s, Fujigen Gakki was one of Japan's most respected guitar manufacturers. Fender, Ibanez, Greco — the guitars people now seek out in vintage stores were built right here, in the same Matsumoto plant that runs today.

For most of that history, Fujigen built under other people's names. FGN is what happens when they build under their own. No licensing agreements. No cost-cutting. Just the same craftspeople, the same processes — and a level of quality control that most guitar companies can't match because they don't own their factory.

"The way Fender should be built."

— A.R., FGN Owner
